The CAPA 95 girls spent the last Sunday of February at the Going for the Goal Showcase in Wilkes-Barre, competing in the Yellow bracket at the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome. First up for the day was the SOCO Tigers – Gold. The beginning of the match was evenly played, but CAPA 95 began to assert itself with field awareness and connective passing and pulled away with a 5-2 win. The second match of the day against the Quakertown Fireballs found CAPA 95 in good form and CAPA 95 won easily by a 10-2 score. The final match of the day proved to be the toughest one for CAPA. Playing their last match with no break after match two, CAPA 95 faced what proved to be a very physical Berks Ajax – Black squad. Right from the opening whistle, Berks Ajax came at the team with extreme pressure and direct play. Many fouls were called, but no cards were issued for either team, as the intensity of the match escalated. CAPA 95 held their ground and finished out the tournament with a 2-1 well-deserved win as the only undefeated team in the Yellow bracket.
